Phosphorus in waste sources in Southern Vietnam: potential for recovery

Abstract The potential for phosphorus (P) recovery from various sources in Southern Vietnam has been assessed this study. Five types of waste were studied, namely sediment catfish pond, manure cattle and pig farming, also sludge domestic rubber-latex processing wastewater-treatment plants. study identifies P-reserve assesses factors related to P such as distribution, collection, transportation conditions, composition wastes. farming is estimated about 17.7 kt yr -1 while reserve the highest, 21.7 . Total P-reserves studied wastes are 50 , equivalent 37% Vietnam’s imported nutrient quantity 2019. Generated plants highest favorable properties recovery. It turns out be feasible collect recover source under current conditions.
